September 1st Speaker Bio:
Joshua Allen, a lifelong musician, studied piano from childhood and added vocal and organ studies in high school and college. Recently, he was a founding member and collaborative accompanist for the Longview Chamber singers, and has appeared as baritone soloist with the North Central Texas Chorale, as pianist with the Longview Symphony Orchestra, and plays regularly at various area organs, pianos, churches, breweries, and friends’ living rooms. He believes that music has the power to unite people in common humanity, community purpose, and worldwide solidarity. Joshua lives with his boyfriend, Ethan, and a very spoiled chiweenie named Ellie.
